“Bully Students? How about , Bully Administrators?”

To All Concerned Readers,

What if you were the parents of this child?  After a fight, the other child continuously bullied your child because the Dean and Counselor had neither performed mediation nor counseling. Your child believed it was safe to hide in library to avoid further fights because nobody had told him that was wrong. Four months later, a teacher informed the parents with the shocking news - their child had skipped 34 classes and received bad grades. When the parents stated their discontent of not being informed, the school administers retaliated by harassing the child on a daily basis and gave him 2 “F’s”.  The harassment did not stop until the parents started a blog on the internet to document every incident. The school then shifted the problems to the district. Nevertheless, it was even worse. The district has continuously sabotaged the parents to this date.  

 

What if your child is going through the same public school system where educators possess superior authority over our children, yet they are human and they do make mistakes. For example, a Chinese Teacher locked the child up and forced him to sign a false statement; otherwise, he was not allowed to leave. A PE Teacher gave him “D” solely because he had 9 (false) absences. There are 3 different attendance sheets, but the Principal neither permitted any testimony from students nor to release the records. A Chemistry Teacher gave the child an “F” because after she had received the 11 assignments, she then told the district, in fact, she needed 17 more after the turned in 11. A History Teacher received the copies of the entire semester’s assignments which she claimed she had never received. She then informed the district “these” were authentically at flaws and gave an “F”. Unfortunately, when educators conspired together for their own benefits, they abused authority and caused harm to children.  

 

After this blog was created, the concerned parents and community leaders were exchanging horrible experiences to one another. These parents are mostly working class people. They do not have the time, resources, and energy to fight bureaucracy. Most of them gave up at the school level. Some parents dropped their cases at the district level because they discovered their representatives were aligned with the district; in fact, they feed into each other’s needs. Unfortunately, such disadvantageous status enhances the above mentioned abusive behavior. Therefore, the benefits of children are merely superficial. Instead, the “favoritism” to each other becomes the essence of educators’ working ethics.  

 

Is our Education Board a mere puppet to the powers to be? Lowell has irresponsible Teachers, Dean, and Counselor who failed to inform parents on the student in trouble, coerced him to sign a false statement, and misrepresented facts and falsified records.  School Principal took retaliatory response to parents’ complaints, did not allow parents to see school records, and undermined parents’ appeal efforts from the district. Furthermore, Board of Education’s unwillingness to investigate and take appropriate actions manifested a disastrous development in the student’s academic future.   “It’s about time to clean house – the entire district,” said one of their own commissioners.
